Please read this policy carefully before using the Kopon website or app. By continuing to use Kopon, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Information we collect

"Personal Information" is understood in line with Zimbabwe's Data Protection Act [Chapter 11:12] and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation. We aim to keep the Personal Information we hold accurate, secure and confidential.

When you register, browse deals or make a purchase on Kopon, we may ask you for:

• First name and surname
• Email address and phone number
• Delivery / redemption address
• Payment details (processed via EcoCash or our card payment partner — we never store full card numbers)
• Vendor business name and registration details, if you sign up as a vendor

We only collect what we need to run Kopon and will ask for your specific consent before using it for anything beyond providing our services, unless the law requires or permits otherwise. We do not collect sensitive information (health, political or religious beliefs, etc.) unless you volunteer it or the law allows it.

2. How we use your information

By using Kopon, you consent to us using your information to:

• Process your deal purchases and deliver your voucher
• Notify you about your orders and account activity
• Send you deal alerts and marketing, where you've opted in
• Respond to your queries and support requests
• Improve Kopon and understand how deals perform
• Detect and prevent fraud, including voucher fraud
• Meet our legal and administrative obligations

3. Keeping your information safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your Personal Information against loss, misuse or unauthorised access, and we review these measures regularly. No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, but access to your data within Kopon is limited to staff and vendors who need it to do their jobs, on a confidential basis. We do not keep your information for longer than we need it.

4. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the Personal Information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information ("right to be forgotten"), where there's no lawful reason left for us to keep it
• Restrict how we process your information
• Withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent
• Object to your information being used for direct marketing
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority

5. Sharing your information

We will never sell, rent or share your Personal Information with third parties for their own marketing. We may share limited information with the vendor you've bought a deal from (so they can honour your voucher), our payment processors (EcoCash and our card gateway), and service providers who help us run Kopon, all under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law or a court order.

6. Cookies & log files

Kopon uses session cookies to keep you signed in and remember your cart, and may use permanent cookies to recognise your device on return visits. We also automatically collect general information such as your IP address, browser and pages visited, used in aggregate to understand how Kopon is used — this data isn't used to identify you individually.

7. Links to other sites

Kopon may link to third-party sites, including vendor websites and payment providers. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of sites we don't operate — please review their own policies before sharing information with them.

8. Age requirement

Kopon is intended for users 18 years and older, who have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18.
